How Does it Work?
Bridge Coaching Sessions help you to better understand and apply what you have learned in bridge lessons and bridge reading.
Develop a better grasp of bridge fundamentals and how to use them.
Play better bridge.
Get more out of your next bridge course.
<< What’s in a Coaching Session? >>
In each Bridge Coaching session you play real bridge hands.
Doug will give coaching and feedback comments during and after each hand.
At any time, players can ask questions, make comments, use cheat sheets, and change their bid or play.
Doug will promote bridge fundamentals as defined by well-known bridge author Barbara Seagram in her Basic Bridge and Intermediate I text books.
<< Who can Participate? >>
Each Bridge Coaching session is booked for 4 players and up to 2 additional watchers (kibitzers).
You may be a group of friends who play bridge with each other casually, or people who have met at a bridge course and want to stay connected.
Individuals are also welcome to register their availability and Doug will try to form groups of four.
Everyone is encouraged to have taken at least one beginner or intermediate bridge course and be aware of basic bidding and bridge conventions. (Doug does not use advanced conventions).
If you live in the Toronto area and want to take an entry level bridge course, Doug recommends Josée Hammill’s excellent face-to-face courses. Click here to connect with her.
<< How are Sessions Scheduled? >>

Bridge Coaching with Doug uses well-known apps for bridge-hand generation (BBO) and video communication (ZOOM).
<< What does a session cost? >>
Each Bridge Coaching Session is a flat fee of $100 for up to 6 participants.
Your first session is at no charge.
If you like what you experience, you can engage Doug for weekly sessions, or book periodically.
